Dear music friends,
Music from Frescobaldi, Bach, via Hovhaness, Chopin, to Ginastera and Tera
de Marez Oyens..Dancing through the ages.
Ever heard a ballerina on a cliff? with roaring seas under a rock?
glissandi on piano strings?
Or dances that feel like rock music, but then in 7/8?
and feel the elegance of a sarabande?
the sadness in a pavane?
This is all coming to the United Church of Strafford on the common in the upper village this Friday, Nov. 17th at 7pm.
Donations for the concert are welcomed the door, with a part of it going to
the Mannheim Fund;
CDs (holiday gifts?) are for sale;
but, I do also encourage you to bring some foods, non perishable for the
Food Shelf
(the Church’s Mission committee will take care of delivering it) with
upcoming Thanksgiving in mind.
I hope to welcome you there,
Annemieke McLane, pianist
