UPDATE as of the evening of November 7th: Emily Taubl has the flu, so this will be a solo piano performance. Annemieke is adding French Suites to the Italian Concerto and the rest of her part of the planned program.
Cellist Emily Taubl and pianist Annemieke McLane are performing pieces by J. S. Bach on Friday evening, November 8, 2019 at 7:00 at the United Church of Strafford, Vermont. Admission is by donation and 20% of the proceeds support the Manheim Fund for the Arts. Please stay to greet the artists afterward over refreshments.
“Bach is the supreme genius of music… This man, who knows everything and feels everything, cannot write one note, however unimportant it may appear, which is anything but transcendent. He has reached the heart of every noble thought, and has done it in the most perfect way.”
– Pablo Casals
Taubl and McLane will share their passion for J.S.Bach as soloists and as a duo in sonatas. They will be performing Bach’s First Cello Suite, First keyboard/piano Toccata, the Italian Concerto and Gamba sonatas.
