March 14, 2021 Children’s (and Adults’) Story Time

We will have a Children’s (and Adults’) Story Time by Zoom, this Sunday, March 14th at 9:30 AM—Please spread the word about this event.  Children can attend from anywhere and adults are welcome, too!

Danette Harris and Joey Hawkins will read aloud and discuss the beautiful, meaningful book described below.  (Pastor Tom Kinder will be there, too—he is the zoom host, and it’s one of his favorite activities!)

We will be offering story time whenever we have a volunteer to lead it.  Please let us know if you would like to share a favorite book with the children by emailing us at

Children of all ages are welcome to join Joey Hawkins and Danette Harris this Sunday from 9:30-10:00 AM.. We are very excited to dig into our new theme for Lent: Stories That Feed Us.  We will be serving up a wide range of the best, most beloved stories we know, and exploring what we can learn from each one.   We will see why a great story is like manna from heaven in the wilderness, a gift that fills and nourishes us.

Our next story is one of our very favorite books: Enemy Pie by Derek Munson.
Here is a description of the story: “It was the perfect summer. That is, until Jeremy Ross moved into the house down the street and became Enemy Number One…….In this funny yet endearing story, one little boy learns an effective recipe for turning a best enemy into a best friend…. Enemy Pie serves up a sweet lesson in friendship.”
The story will be followed by a short discussion where we will focus on the thoughts of the children. All are welcome to join us, and be sure to come hungry for a story that can truly feed us, nourishing our heart, mind and soul!

Here is the Zoom link (note that it is the same as the Sunday morning Live Service at 10:00 and Joys and Concerns at 10:30):
